6/2/11 thistle bums and double decker death

Today was pretty chill, woke up and decided i wanted to wear a skirt and dress warm with hopes it would be a nice day. Walked outside and what do ya know it was a beautiful sunny day :) We headed to the Sir John Soanes Museum which seems like just another house from the outside but in there its really cool and covered with stone artifact form all over. No pics were allowed, and on every surface that could be used for sitting had a dried out thistle placed on it hahaha it was a bizzare way of saying please dont sit on the furniture in my opinion. And I wonder if anyone has sat on one and got pricked. They also had tiny amazing models of basically every cathedral in england which was very cool to see. After that we went to the british museum for a bit, I might go back cuz i didnt see very much. We left to go shopping and had lunch at a yummy and cute italian place. We mostly shopped at the portobello markets which was great. Then headed home ate a bunch...for some reason I got really tired and hungry and tired today. I did some sketching and chilling with friends and hopefully will get more sleep. oh ya and on the way to shopping I followed a bunch of people in my group across the road when a double decker was stopped and it decided to start moving right when i stepped out. I was so surprised when all the sudden it was a foot away from my face honking away haha scared me to death as well as gave me a headache

Just the outside of the john soanes museum. It was cool in one room the walls were covered in paintings and a handle on the wall would open a layer of the wall to reveal more painting and then another handle to open up to a statue and paintings and looking down on the room below...if that made any sense

The main area in side the british museum, the picture definitely doesnt do it justice

We probably have way too much fun in the gift shops haha but the workers there seemed to be enertained by watching us take pics.

Definitely the most attractive men I have seen in England so far haha and they are tall, actually was on my tiptoes for this one.

bahaha i find this so hilarious, thats me as the paddington bear, which i had never heard of until recently

Just goofing around in a scottish shop :)

The cool building thats were distracting me when i almost got ran over!

This vintage shop was awesome not to mention the crazy gaga getup in the front window

i love london :) how adorable that a heart shape just grew into the tree

I love free shoes! haha jk i couldnt jump that high even if i was wearing trampoline shoes.

This store's window and some walls inside are just lined with antique singer sewing machines, oh and the clothes there were gorgeous plus expensive!

I was getting really really hungry so we had to find a giant fork. haha The entrance to the place we went for lunch was so freakin cool.

My lunch, the lighting was awful but the dish actually looked and tasted amazing. We arranged the bill with the paper money on bottom and coins arranged in a flower on top and told our waitress we made her a flower, she was all it excited and showed another worker. It was adorable, just trying our best to change some peoples minds about americans over here haha

Ahh so cool, so passed this pizza place that has an old vw bug as the window display but they also use the windows as a rack for their really long pizzas. adorkable!
